FC Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalionok, who scored the decider in the Ukrainian Cup quarterfinal against FC Rukh Lviv, has commented upon the game:
- I’m glad I scored and we won, but we could score earlier. If we used chances we had early in the game things would have been much easier.
- Could you please tell about the goal you scored?
- I saw the defender was going to tackle, so I eluded him with fake shot and sent it into the far corner.
- Dynamo are already in the Cup semifinal. Besides the team is fighting for the UPL title. Is the decisive stage on?
- It is. Every game is like a final.
— You still have a few league games ahead including the one against Shakhtar. How’re you getting ready mentally? Does being top of the league impact you?
- We need to focus on our performance and move from one game to another. Our next opponent are Livyi Bereh.
- You had an injury recently and didn’t play 90 minutes today. How do you feel physically?
- Coach saw I got tired, so it was a right decision to substitute me. I still need to recondition.
